For Group entries, mention the first person name in reference column. For ex. if there are 4 members in a group,
Alex, Geetha, Renu, Sandhya, then you need to mention Alex & Team and make a single transaction of S$44/- (4 x S$11)

Please go through the Rules and Regulations of the Competition.

  • Maximum time allowed is 5 mins (Film songs Group medley 6 mins)
  • All languages are acceptable for all categories
  • Multiple entries are allowed
  • Solo Registration is as per the form given in Register page. Participants should register carefully based on their last year results.Whoever has won prizes last year should register under Special Cat. only (wherever Special Category is Applicable). If they register wrongly, even after the competition, (before/after announcing the results) if ArtsHub finds out, they will be disqualified.
  • GROUP REGISTRATION (Register page):
    Only 1 Regn to be made for each group.     For ex. if there are 4 members in a group, Alex, Geetha, Renu, Sandhya, then you need to mention Alex and Team and make a single registration. Alex (First person) need to take the responsibility to communicate to their group members. In contact details column Alex’s email ID and Phone number should be given.
  • For competition for all categories both solo and group each competitor shall be permitted not more than FIVE minutes subject to the discretion of the judges.
    – Participants for Duet singing are requested to send the Karoake minus track via email ASAP and also need to bring their own Minus track both in their mobile and Thumbdrive (mp3 format) which will be played in our laptop.
    No Karoake minus track is allowed for film song solo.                                  –     NEW CATEGORY INTRODUCED THIS YEAR Film songs Group Medley (Minimum 3 maximum 6 members)
    Participants should prepare and present a medley of film songs. Any language is acceptable. Maximum no. of songs to be presented for medley is 3 film songs (Total Duration 6 mns). This will be a karaoke round and the group members have to organise the minus track for the songs they are presenting, which should reach us via email in mp3 format 15 days prior to the event. You are also requested to bring a copy of the same in your mobile/thumbdrive in mp3 format.
  • No remuneration or conveyance will be paid to any competitors for any reason whatsoever.
  • Participants will be informed about their reporting time at least
    3 days in advance via registered email, if no email received call us.
    Please check your mail 4 days before the Competition. SMS will
    not be sent. Checking your mail is MANDATORY.
  • Closing Date for Registration: (Saturday).
  • No on the spot Registration will be entertained.
  • The competitors should be present themselves atleast half an hour before their reporting time.
  • The decision of the judges and management of ARTSHUB shall be unquestionably final and binding upon all competitors in all respects.
    In case there are no minimum entries in any category, ArtsHub has every right to club or cancel the same.
  • Participants should carry age proof on the day of competitio.

  7. No remuneration or conveyance will be paid to any competitors for any reason whatsoever.

Music Festival

ArtsHub Singapore Music Festival Rules 13th November 2016, Sunday

1. Only Group performances are allowed

2. Entries are limited

3. Each group should have 5 participants so that a full concert presence will be felt

4. We shall arrange for the Mridangist and Violinist

5. We are doing the programme in 2 segments – First half will be Classical and the second half will be Semi-classical/Devotional. So, we shall inform the timings for first and second segment after last date of registration. (For ex. First Segment 4 to 6 pm…….)

6. Teachers are requested to give equal no. of Classical and Semi Classical entries. If you don’t have Classical students, Semi Classical entries are allowed.

7. Each participant can take part only once either in Classical or Semi classical so that everyone gets an opportunity. This is an encouraging platform.

8. Last date of Registration is 18th October 2016. But, please do not wait till the last date because limited slots are available and its on first come first serve basis only.

9. Collection of tickets will be on 22nd or 23rd of October. I shall inform about the date, time and venue of ticket collection. Any one person is advised to come and collect the tickets for all the members of that Teacher.

10. All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation.

11. Please prepare the group for a song of 5 minutes duration.

12. Every participant should buy a ticket for S$20/- which admits 2 persons. Its free for Participants and any sibling who is less than 5 years of age. More than 5 years should buy a ticket for S$10/- only. Any additional ticket is S$10/- based on the availability.

13. No remuneration or conveyance will be paid to any participants for any reason whatsoever.

14. Please register via email to [email protected] with full names of the participant. For example, if a Teacher sends 4 groups, you are required to send one email with list of full names (to be written in the certificate) and mention whether it is classical or semi-classical. No other details required. Please engage one parent volunteer for each group so as to make the registration work easier.

15. Participants are advised to come in traditional attire.

i. Arts Hub Music Competition Prize Winners (including Consolation) of 2015

ii. Carnatic/Classical Sub Juniors and Juniors

2.Others will come under General Category.

3.Participant should memorize the song that they are going to sing.

4. Participants should make their own arrangements for Shruti – be it Shruti box or Tambura. Tambura/Shruti box should be tuned before the participants Number is called. Please do not tune it on the stage.

5. Participants should bring their own accessories like power chords, adaptors etc. Organizers will not be providing them.

6. Participants will be informed about their reporting time at least days in advance.

7. Closing Date for Registration: 28th March 2016 (Monday) – 23:59 hrs.
